I saw this pose somewhere and simply had to give it a go. Thought I would try Katara for this one, sketched on paper then inked, coloured etc on the computer. (Attempting to follow the shows design layout.)Think it came out nice, had to put her in less clothing to make full use of the pose, a bit cheeky but still innocent enough.
Jinβs pose was more complex, and her pose was also my own creation, so I am a bit more proud of that, but still Katara came out real well. Now I just have to think of a pose for Toph?

All personalities have their good and bad sides, Β some aspects we like, others we don't, she does have some good points as well though.
I can see your point of view. Β You could also deconstruct all of the other avatar characters like this with a little thought. Could be quite amusing actually.

I'll get around to doing an older toph one day... but I'm waiting to see any hints on changes from the series, like hair or something... maybe I'll become impatiant.

I love the way you captured the whole naughty/innocent thing. The emotion on her face with the light smile, the set of her eyebrows, and the way her eyes are a little closed make it seem like she's just relaxed. But then you throw in the seductive leg thing; and the angle at which you drew her really let's you see her features (yeah, let's use that word...) to best advantage.

I'm going with the crowd: Katara's hair looks better when it's unbraided. Then I'm saying this: Dynamic pose. The anatomy is great, how the weight is shifted, and the proportioning is perfect. It really shows Katara's personality, the whole sweet and innocent, yet sexy at the same time. The background and lettering is also great.

What a beautiful depiction of Katara--sweet, smooth with just a hint of sexiness in the posture and relaxed, Mona Lisa-esque smile. A lot of people have commented on the hair, which I agree is very nice when it's down. However, I think the thing that impresses me most is the anatomy dynamics. Not only is everything in perfect, realistic proportion, but the way she has her weight on the one leg, back slightly tilted to compensate for the turned head, it just shows how well you understand how the human body works. Well done!
The soft, watery background and kanji-like script are nice touches too.
