So, the new wig arrived and I'm sort of in love with it...~ <3
Requesting critique on the photo edit only. I hope to advance my photo editing skills so constructive feedback is appreciated. No, really, it is. My first comment critique made my heart flutter so well-thought suggestions towards improvement make me super happy.

Thank you very much! I had my friend gently tossing the ponytail while the photographer shot continuously. It's a bit hard to capture--We have images of the wig literally flying off my head XD--but it makes for great results in the end!

I like the changes you made! Just thought I'd comment about the Mac/PC difference. It has to do with monitor calibration. When you calibrate your monitor you basically calibrate it so what you see on the monitor is most like what you'd see when printing and image out. One two different monitors the same image will look different if they're calibrated differently. In photo labs and places where it's really important they usually calibrate the monitors every day, because they need to be re-calibrated regularly. Generally if you just do it once a week or even a month you should be alright, just depends how often you work on photos and how important they are. So yeah, that's why you'll see a difference from monitor to monitor, and Macs and PCs by default will calibrate their monitors a bit differently, so you'll probably notice the biggest difference there.

I borrow a TV-sized Mac to edit my photos and browse via personal PC--When I checked the image on my PC, I instantly knew what you meant by the colors looking dull. It looked like I hadn't done a thing! Thank you, again, for all the wonderful information; I will keep all your advice in mind for my next edit. <3

Do you mean the butterfly design or the top material itself? The fabric I used is some horrendous polyester blend that I had laying around from a previous project. I don't know the name of the fabric but it was awful. So cheap and my machine just hated it. My recommendation is to buy something with more weight and less stretch. Dx
As for the butterfly, I made an inverted stencil of the design then very carefully painted it with fabric paint. Hope that helps.

Of course~Just check your local Joanns fabrics; they're fairly cheap and easy to find in the fabric, dye, and t-shirt decorating section. There are many different types of fabric paint, too. I used a puff paint on this particular design so it stood out more. Puff paint also creates more precise lines. You don't need a paint brush, just a steady hand. On my up-coming Mono and Touko cosplays, I used a thinner paint called "Tulip." That type of fabric paint is more like regular paint: you need a paint brush and several coats but it can cover large surfaces a lot better than puff fabric paint and doesn't have a raised look to it.

Thanks. Hopefully I'll be able to finish. The anime con I'm going to is in November, so I have a bit of time left to finish the shirt. I don't think I'm going to make her jacket after the con though (not enough money) By buying a Gi from a karate place and dying t with orange clothing dye. Thank you so much though!!!
