Description
These photos were taken tonight at the Loxahatchie Reserve near the Everglades. This is a beautiful area, northwest of Ft. Lauderdale, and a wonderful place to see the sun set.[link]

ha ha, I'm guessing you didn't get close enough to the edge to verify then....Those reptiles are sneaky creatures...One time I took a picture of the geese playing in the spring rain, and when I got back and downloaded my pictures, I noticed I had filmed a big snapping turtle trying to sneak up on them.

that's wild! I try not to get to close to the edge because I have heard some stories about that very thing. I looked around and did not see Paul Hogan.......so I stayed far away, lol.

I almost missed the sunset last night! I was driving there and the sun just started going down so quickly, I couldn't believe it. Luckily, I got there in time to catch this and the others. It actually looked pretty after the sun was gone...the sky just kept changing. Its a pretty area, I have older photos in my gallery from there. Anyway, thanks for the faves and I am so happy you liked these shots.

this song is from the '60's and it has always been a favorite of mine. when i was putting the photo up on d/a, i heard it on the radio and went with it...the classics iv were a very well loved group back then, not sure if you know of them, but i love the lead singers voice (dennis yost). hope you liked the song.
