What can I say about my art this past year.......
Putting this together, I had a hard time finding images to fit into March through August, because in that time, technically I didn't do a lot of work that I would generally want to put on dA!
But I'm also really proud of a lot of things that happened this year so I wanna try and talk about those little victories that I feel really defined the year 🙏

Overall I feel like I kept up really well with the last couple months of the previous year, being less afraid of backgrounds and really trying to give all my drawings some context/be a bit more illustrative.
February and early March I finished up two pieces for my first zine entry to Millennium Girls Zine!
March was sort of characterized by omg dapper-volk is here for stuff that was going on online-- but here I was really getting into my first really-real!! working contract as an illustrator and game artist.
I seriously can't explain how amazed and grateful I am that I'm actually getting to do the things I've always wanted to do T___T and to still have work in the industry, even in these newbie pieces, has been mind-blowing.

I worked with one studio remotely From Feb into early August. March through May were especially intensive with how much needed to be produced-- but in May and June I was also making dozens of backer rewards for the Project that Shall Not be Named. But I don't want to characterize June through August, some of the most emotionally and mentally taxing months of my life, by all that ugliness. In June, Dainties did a charity auction that raise a really wonderful amount of money for an LGBT foundation. July I created one of my most favourite pieces, and in August I did a lot of work on my iPad because I got to take a trip and visit some friends. <3

September and onwards felt like a lot of recovery, but I think you can tell by how much I've posted lately that things have gotten a lot better! I'm now VERY excited to be part of I was a Teenage Exocolonist and also doing light work for that local author. I've been really trying to push my concepts, designs, and painting to higher highs. Still not satisfied but I am cool with how things are going.

Thank you to those who have come around to witness my tenth year on deviantart (screams). I've gotten more traffic this year than I ever have before, with many people stopping by to take a look, and it's hard for me to fully explain how much that means to me.
