Description Why do people are allowed to smoke publicly? O_o I don't get this. It's not normal. They should be only allowed to smoke in their houses and everyone who breaks it, should pay big money as a punishment.

I have severe asthma and every time I pass a smoker, or even a place were someone was smoking recently, I can be sent into a coughing fit.

One time my dad and I were driving in his convertible and we were at a stop light. About ten feet away on the sidewalk, there was a smoker. I started coughing and coughing and I couldn't stop, and I had to take my inhaler. The guy was ten feet away, and I was sent into a coughing fit and I couldn't breath. Ten. Feet. Away. So for the sake of anyone like me who has a chronic breathing problem, smoking in public should be banned, or at least regulated more harshly.

When someone says "Old comment", is because they no longer cares/remembers/agrees with the comment they've posted months or years ago.

In other words, check a comment's date before calling its OP out, because you don't know exactly if their views have changed or not after posting it.

Yes I agree and love this stamp. Everywhere I go someone is always smoking a cigarette and the smell gets on my nerves. Nothing worst than being a victim of second hand smoke.

I agree. Smokers affect me. And I really hate it. Whenever I go into the city, there's always smokers snorting tobacco, giving me a panic attack. :/
Seriously, it needs to be banned. It's gotten too much and it has killed several people before.

I'm sick of smokers. My respiratory problems never go away thanks to them. They need to ban this garbage.

It's only prohibited and no one cares about it because no one punishes smokers. So I can't say it's strictly prohibited.

I am sorry for you.

It's still legal to rip people off! they are expensive!

also it is the "Masons" idea also cause they say that the worlds population should be controlled

(i don't recall exactly, i think it was 5 billion)

so they kill people through constant wars and smoking!!

I remember another time my sister and I got caught up behind a pack of smokers (a huge crowd of people walking down the street, all of them smoking) on our way to a Lucky's to be picked up, and when I started coughing and covered my mouth with my shirt she just rolled her eyes and said "oh come on, it's not like you haven't been around this before!"

and that's trube because some people in my family smoke.

but she missed one key fact; I wasn't in the same room with the smokers when they smoked!

Well, I know the feeling. A lot of those crap-brains smoke on bus-stops and it's annoying. I remember when 80% of my classes smoked and after that they used to go to the classroom and close all windows. It was terrible. People are nature's fail.

I remember one time I was walking home from school, and this guy was smoking only a few yards off campus, and the moment I decided to breath in, he decided to breath out, and when I started coughing he looked at me like I was weird

so I don't smoke, how is that weird at all?

People like this should be punished for destroying health of others and for making them stink.

Unfortunately, I support this. That's because smokers doesn't have any culture - at least in my country. But let's face it. They wouldn't care about smoking in public places being forbidden.

UGH that'd be wonderful. There is seriously nothing worse than walking into a building on a rainy day and all the smokers are desperately crowded under the awning sucking on their cigarettes, creating a cloud of nasty smoke. You have to hold your breath for a mile after walking through them and you can still smell it.

It's the same with buses. I use them everyday and those stinkers go inside on almost every bus-stop. Having all of those retards around you, you still have to wash your clothes even more often (of course, I am writing about jackets, coats and everything we wear when we go outside : >). I hate that.

rioIu [2012-03-30 01:50:55 +0000 UTC]

Look, as much as I dislike smokers (especially with my father's defiance to believe in second-hand smoke), it isn't like smokers are streakers, running around in public naked and showin' off their junk mail. That's kind of taking away their freedom. If they want to ruin their health then okay... I mean, it's the public, the outside, fresh air! If you could only smoke at home it'd be like doing crack, like you can't get caught with it! (Only smoking isn't illegal.) And due to the many many many millions of smokers, there'd be a lot of rebellion about it =__=

Kelsey-Kat [2012-03-29 17:04:55 +0000 UTC]

Why? Should we have the same rules for eating unhealthy food or drinking wine with dinner at a restaurant? There are enough bans and limits on cigarettes already, and smoking outside shouldn't be a problem.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 2

black-cat16-stamps In reply to Kelsey-Kat [2012-03-30 07:06:39 +0000 UTC]

Unhealthy food and drinking some wine doesn't harm others. It doesn't stink and doesn't piss off others. There is a crapload of smokers around me and I have to smell that shit in the city, everywhere I go. Not to mention how my jackets and coats stink...

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 0

RedSpyInTheBase In reply to Kelsey-Kat [2012-03-29 20:38:19 +0000 UTC]

I don't actually agree with this. It's not like eating unhealthy food or drinking wine because there's no second-hand fat or second-hand drunk. Smoking hurts people around the smoker so if there are non-smokers around, people shouldn't be allowed to smoke. Even outside. My brother has had a asthma attack just from passing a man smoking at a bus stop.
