I feel like this painting represents how women may not be accepted in society as a whole. They have been cutout of certain activities and equality, which leaves them feeling half as important. -- You're welcome!

I love the overt symbolism. It is more disturbing (in a positive way) than it would have been impliedly. Also, the colors are very strong and beautiful.
