I have decided to create scrapbook pages using shots from my trip to Barcelona and London. This is my first one about La Sagrada Familia. This cathedral is still under construction and is not going to be finished until 2025! It was the life's work of Gaudi and these pictures do not do it justice because it is a beautiful monument....Thanks for viewing and commenting. Please view full to be able to read the comments.

12 spires for the apostles and 4 spires for the gospelists. That means John gets two spires. He was one of the apostles and he wrote the fourth gospel.
That would make a good obscure trivia question. "Which apostle has two 190-foot spires dedicated to him in Gaudi's La Sagrada Familia?"
Oh wait, there wouldn't be only one answer. Matthew gets two spires also. Oh, well

I've got another The Alan Parsons Project concept album which is dedicated to the artistic vision of Gaudi. The CD is simply called "Gaudi." "La Sagrada Familia" is one of the songs. I loved watching the 1992 Barcelona Olympics because I loved seeing La Sagrada Familia in the scenic shots all the time. It was also cool having John Tesh (one of my favourite musicians) as one of the commentators for the Olympics that year. He used to host "Entertainment Tonight" with Mary Hart before he decided to devote full time to his music career.

I was completely in awe while standing outside the cathedral. Inside it was just as inspiring...except for the walk up all those steps in the the spires...whew.

this is really good ange you most have worked really hard on this i can see you took your time to do it and with out any help from me...it's all learning process and your doing things alot better now....i like the brushes and fonts you used..

I told you I would finish it and I finally did! It was a lot of work but I am proud of it even if you are the only one who commented on it!

Well Jules.... I did what I set out to do today. I put what was in my mind onto canvas and after 6 hours of insanity here is my finished product. I am proud of it even though I can see some flaws...I know what to do differently for the next one.
