I thought Sarif didn't allow SWAT to act, because he was afraid of the increasing of the bad rumors and spoiling the image of his company. You know, the second attack on the company is not a plus

You are kinda right, Sarif mostly had 2 reasons why he wanted to send Adam alone there. First one was that he wanted to secure the Typhoon project data before it gets leaked out. Second reason was that he probadly wanted to test out Adam's abilities with his new augmentations - after all those aren't ordinary augmentations like that crap from LIMB clinics.

Well he totaly used Adam by all means, but if you ask me in a world like that i would probadly do exactly the same thing. Sometimes you need to see the bigger picture.
Sarif has good intentions to revolutionize the existing aug technology for good of mankind and make it safer. But his methods however make him neither a protagonist neither a antagonist. He's a cliche character and he must watch his priorities or he will end up like Hugh Darrow or worse
