I commented on this a long while back I think, but I still love it and I come back to it a lot. I'm finally going to ask this time, though--are these two meant to look a bit like Apollo and Hyacinth?

Nice to know it still look nice even though such a long time. Not exactly but it actually fits the story. This in fact is one of those untold story, it's kinda related to (more like precursor) blackbehemot.deviantart.com/ga⦠but different and more symbolic.

I still feel like I've commented on your work before somewhere.
I really like how you shade and especially the way you often cover things up with something to not need to censor and still make it look natural.
Here I just feel like the flowers could be more shaded in some way to give them some depth. On the other hand I know it's very hard to shade white or pure white.
That reflection of light from the water is just amazing. I've not dared to try and draw water yet.

the light refraction from the water, the subtlety of the shading, and even the complexity of the background are all phenomenal....and your still not satisfied.
