I actually think Colin is ten times more attractive after drawing this picture. (Think i could have drawn the mouth better btw but the rest is pretty good.)

ps. One day i'll stop drawing on scrap paper with writing on the back, i promise!

I lurve thissss! You got almost everything perfect (if you don't mind me saying, the nose is too straight). Love the texture in the hair.

Thank youuu!! I'm not entirely happy with it (an excuse to try again sometime ) and you're right, he has a slightly more interesting nose than this!

XD i feel sorry for the little blue emoticon XD but you do hair well! how long did it take? and how does you get the light effect on it?
cartoons are easier to draw and colour, yes.

It probably took 2-3 hours. The light effect is just a matter of observing how the shading works on your reference image and trying to match it, leaving the lightest parts blank on the page. I used to be quite nervous about making my shading dark but after a while you've just got to go for it.

well, i put it into practice today- and its not all that bad, ish. it looks like hair for once, which is always a good thing. shall post it one here as soon as poss. thanks for the help, again ^_^
