This a 's second request he asked me looooooooooooonnnnn*take her breath*nnnnnnnng time ago. The first one is here: [link] (2007)
When I accepted this request I couldn't imagine how hard it would be to draw it. Not necesserly because it required good skills but mostly because I didn't know I'll have NO inspiration at all. I don't know why but everytime I tried to improve this drawing I failed. I know it happen sometimes but I was so desesperate.
Then I had to run away from the place where I was living and I couldn't take the .psd file with me. I loose so many drawings this day...
~Raphial has be waiting so much time that he probably must hate me now. But honestly, when I see my current photoshop skills and I remember my old ones... I must say that I would have given a poor result for a such detailed pic. I saved the first version of the sketch. When I think that it could look like this ...in fact I'm happy I had so much pain, taking so much time if it gave me the possibility to turn this drawing into something better. Besides ~Raphial has improved his characters since, so I could change some details.
But I'm truely sorry anyway. The quality of the digital painting isn't good enough for me, but I tried my very best with the absence of my inspiration.

Well I have to say I am thoroughly impressed with this piece of art, the fireworks were a nice touch it helps illustrate the feeling of emotions in a exquisite manner. The lighting is Scary good I mean the fact that you used multiple light sources means it was that much more difficult.
Now the the Reason the impact is 4 instead of 5 or 4.5 is because the fireworks and the kiss doesn't exactly match up.

...let me explain what I mean by this; this fireworks would suggest that they were at the climax of there embrace, but it looks more of the aftermath, so if they were at a stronger embrace it would have a stronger impact, IMO I'm just one person.

I don't understand your point about the matching up of the kiss and the fireworks. there is no direct relation between the two and I don't think there needs to be one although we do feel that one helps to emphasis the other.

again it is an emotional point of view and what other thing would the fireworks link would it link to, that is one that is obvious.
look at it like this Can the drawing be done with out the fireworks... yes, Can it be done with out the Kiss... yes but it wouldn't be as interesting it would be a scenery with fireworks.
the Kiss is the main focus so every thing around it is linked to the main focus, From the balcony view to the moon light, From
the fireworks to the sea it helps set the mood.

About the matching up of the kiss and fireworks, I disagree. What I think you describe is something recurrent in animation/movies where the climax has to build itself up during a few moments until it reaches it's peak. In comics, the climax would be depicted in a full/double paged view.
Here, there is no building up nor need for a climax, the tittle explains it well as the scene clearly shows sensitivity and love in a simple manner.

Ce dessin est juste magnifique .___. J'adore ! Les couleurs, les détails, le fond, les personnages tout mignon !! J'adore vraiment, c'est tellement beau .w. Et les couleurs sont splendides ! Les détails comme les feux d'artifices, les plantes grimpantes sur les piliers, les nombreuses fenêtres... C'est tellement beaau *O*

C'est 0____0'... PHENOMENAL!!! Le décors est à couper le souffle, la ville et les feux d'artifices rendent du tonnerre! L'ambiance, la romance tout y est! Tous ces détails! Et les plantes vertes! L'éclairage et la gestion des ombres sont parfaits! Le rendu est pour le coup très réaliste et la scène nous transporte. Superbe perspective également! Je suis fan! Tu es impressionnante!
