In my opinion this creature from the film"fly 2" was black.

It certainly looks that way; however, a lot of black flies have a green metallic shimmer to their bodies.

From the start, I felt it was fitting for Harryhausen. This monster was seeking to gain the true humanity his father lost, and to destroy who wanted to hinder him and exploit him. He also knew the acccess code to the telepod, programmed to erase its programming should the user fail 3 times to key in the CORRECT password. They had already tried twice.

Great! I thought the Seth Brundlefly had a better design but this one was really fitting for the setting and being more of an attacking monster bug!
