Description Finally done. Request for GFSLEGION of her female Shepard Jennifer in her custom armor. I had a lot of fun drawing her. The background... well, it's a typical space background with any Mass Effect planet. (Maybe Erinle? I always loved the look of that one.)

Anyways, I hope you like it.

Big fan of Femshepard, thats the only reason I'm commenting on a fanart deviation.

Here is some advice, I would have made the omni-blade on a separate layer, then given it a outer glow of the same color, then raterize the layer and adjust the opacity level... something to consider next time you do something similar.

Only thing that would have made this deviation better was if she was standing at an angle, but I suppose you were going for the classical Shepard pose.

Also, love how you did the camo, I'm definately going to be downloading that.

Yeah, me too. I always love to see all the female Sheps, haha.

You are absolutely right with the omni-blade and I would always do it the way you described, if I were to draw such a picture again. There was just one reason why I didn't adjust the opacity level, namely her fist. Hands are one of my weak points and on the sketch in my sketch book (yes, I'm sketching traditionally, then scanning and inking digitally) Shepards fist looked even weirder. I tried to correct it while I was inking but I failed and so I was very lucky that the omni-tool covered part of her hand. If I had lowered the opacity, this terrible hand would have become fully visible and so I was able to just erase the parts of it which were under the tool.

Yeah, the camo brushes were of great help. I know, I also could have painted the camo pattern by myself but the brushes saved me some time.

Also, thank you for your comment. It was very helpful for me.

You could have maybe done the selection on the transparent omni-blade and had a more solid gradient run across the length of the blade, covering up her hand but still leaving that hint of transparency on the tip.. lolz but I totally get what you are saying, I used to do that too.

Mhhh, that sounds like an idea. I wish I have had the same when I was coloring the picture. Damn!

You asked me to find a picture of my Shepard's armour, and it actually looks just like this, but I use a pink and purple and white camouflage pattern. ^_^

You are very welcome. I had really fun with her, since it was also my first Mass Effect picture ever. And I had a lot of fun drawing her armor. I love the original ones from the games but your custom version was something special - very cool.

I'm very glad that you like the picture. And thanks again for showing interest in my request offer. I think this time the head isn't too big (at least I hope so...).

Thanks. I was really glad that I found these camo brushes; they really helped me to get the main pattern for the armor (although GFSLEGION's original pattern is much more widespread - unfortunately I wasn't able to get it right).
