A peaceful afternoon on the Sea - the Nordics
I wanted to draw this after visiting the Nordics myself, but the trip is planned this summer...Anyway, I just drew the icebergs as I imagined. Hope they look all right...
So, the cute Nordic couples! Sweden x Finland, Denmark x Norway, Norway x Iceland? Though Sweden, Norway and Iceland looked pretty stern, if you look up-close, they are actually smiling~ The clothes are fashioned after the original settings by Himaruya, but since it's meant to be a peaceful family trip, I changed the military suits into casual outfits.
Originally I just wanted to draw Sweden x Finland drinking whiskey with ice knocked off the thousand-year icebergs (like a friend of mine once described. He went on a school trip to Norway). But then...the others are super sweet, too, aren't they? I really couldn't bear to leave out the cheerful Denmark, then logic, the others followed suit.
Their hair was quite challenging! The originals are all sort of mousy blond...I tried to make each a bit different. I'm most satisfied with Iceland's! Purple shadow is pretty cool, isn't it? Eyes were the same. I looked real close and determined that Sweden and Denmark are blue, the others purple to purple blue...phew...
