It looks great but the size of the weapon, even more if the ammunition is 10 mm, because of how it looks, is not practical. A 10mm Coonan would give better results compared to this design. Sorry.

Still wondering how is it gonna hold 45 rounds of 10mm and why the gun eject to the right.

I imagine this to be a caseless 10mm ammunition, baked into a hexagonal profile which can be packaged into

a honeycomb shape while in the magazine, creating 4 staggered rows to the price of conventional 2. The magazine

itself is also a cassette type of system not depending on a spring coil, but an elevator powered by the recoil

of the gun through a revolving chain located at the back of the magazine itself. (a little bit like a conveyor belt)

With all that in place frees a lot of space inside to accommodate all of the 45 rounds.

The ejection port is just for clearing misfires and such and the placement is practically nonessential.

Thanks for the explanation, maybe it’s better to illustrate the concepts that you mentioned and put them into the image with the gun itself, it’ll make a better presentation imo.

Oh this is pretty. I like it! But if it is 10mm, why does it say 45 on this side?
If it's supposed to be an ammo counter, it's really one of the worst places to put it on. : P
And it looks more like a 10-15 round magazine to me lol.

Very cool explanation. Sounds like it would be kinda wide though and prone to failure. But its scifi so I can still get behind it.
Always a fan of non-conventional firearms technology!

If you look closer, you can see that the "45" is indeed an ammo-counter, with a flip-hinge.

Oooh I see. That's kinda handy. Probably more so on a left handed model but at least it obstructs your view less over there.
Just gotta hope it doesn't flip shut too easily when the mantle cycles. cx
