A look at what a race in Sky-High Dragon City would look like. There are plenty more obsticals than this but going through rings is a great way to get points. In an all-city race, the more points you have (style, speed, and such), the better chance you have in leveling up in the ranks, whether you win the race or not. Or...Something like that. To be honest, I'm still working out the details on racing. They're still similar to racing in the TV series, there's still a lot of street racing but as you increase in skill and point standings the races get tougher and flight is needed more often. For rookies, flight is rarely used, treated more as an advanced aero gear pack, but once you reach the tougher levels they're used much more frequently.

The traditional races such as the "Leap of Lorius" track and the "Horn of Libris" competition are still completely ground races, and to ensure no cheating is used the dragons' wings are bound. In the "Lorius Race" though, if a dragon falls (Say the rider miscalculates the jump needed open the aero gear-which is rarely used lately but still sometimes useful-and make it to the first platform) then after a certain height their binds are deactivated and they can fly to safety. The duo will, however, be disqualified.

Like I said, I'm in the planning and experiementing stage right now. The sky is also the wrong color for Dragon City...but it depends on where my imagination takes me what the setting will be. I might need some help from some of my friends still familiar with Dragon "Booster" to help out with the race details and the setting though.

Lastly, as you can see, Beau III looks an awful lot like Beau II (Beau from the TV series) but with wings. That was on purpose. I wanted to see what he'd look like red and blue like the last Beau and he looks pretty good. I'll be posting a reference sheet of Beau's racing disguise later. Another reason I went with red and blue is because this isn't one of those 'recolor a screenshot' characters. I can't just recolor a screenshot of the original Beau from the series then add wings. That's both lazy and sloppy. This will also give me a chance to practice drawing dragons in flight or just dragons with wings.
