When someone says something stupid "I have a mental illness!!!" someone harasses you "I have a mental illness!! acts like a brat "I have a mental illness!" SHUT YOUR FUCKING MOUTH! Just because you have a mental illness does not mean you can use it to excuse bad behavior. Now I can just see some butt hurt idiot like this going "U dont now how it feelzz!111!"\ I do actually. I have one of the highest forms of autism but I never use it as an excuse. Why? because It's not a freaking pass to get out of things you need to learn to live in society and behave maturely. If your mental illness is so 'bad' and so 'controlling' of you than why do you think it's okay to act like this on the internet because "it's not in public so I can do it!" Deviantart is a public website. When people blame their behavior on their illness it makes the people who are trying to live a normal life look bad because people see them and say "Oh they'll just blame their screw ups on their illness". There are so many amazing people who have been successful and never used their illness as an excuse to not be a mature person.Related content

I can see where your coming from, and I agree. But I also think some things like that can't be helped every once and awhile. But other than that, I absolutely agree it shouldn't be an excuse for things like being excessively rude or the like

I know that I'm going to get butthurt replies for this comment, but I really agree with this stamp. I've been on some people's page here and they claim that they have anger management problems/etc just so they can be rude to others.
It's pretty pathetic. I know people in real life who actually have a mental illness but control it so well that I would not suspect that they have a disorder if they hadn't told me.

same. I'm autistic but i'm very very pissed when I see very rude people going "I has autism. I can't help it!" shut the fuck up. It CAN be helped but YOU have to try.

See I understand where you are coming from but this stamp is more to the people who always act like an asshole or little kid then blame it on the mental illness. Now If they rarely act like that and do have an outburst then I am perfectly fine with them saying they couldn't help it.
