Personality: He’s always one step ahead of things. He seems to know what to expect in training and in bad situations, which makes him an extremely safe mount. He seems to read into emotions and can connect with another’s mind. Though Hototos are not known to have “powers,” JJ certainly is a master at seeming to know what a person thinks. At times he can get ahead of himself, and get himself in certain trouble, but he’s a gentle giant and has yet to cause a huge scene.
He’s also a little sure of himself, and can be just a tad cocky, but it’s thought that this is just because of his young age, and he’ll hopefully grow out of it.

History: Easter sure was a strange time to receive gifts, unless you were about 5 years old and the Easter bunny brought you a basket of toys and candy. However, one Easter morning, the Chronicles received its very first Easter present. It wasn’t a basket of toys and candy, it wasn’t a bag full of eggs; it was, instead, a very precious gift.
Melody sat in her office, hair a mess, in her crumpled PJs after a night’s sleep, with a cup of something warm to drink, checking her e-mail for any news. A strange message appeared, one from a farm she was just getting to know. It simply read, “wishing you a happy Easter.” She double clicked on the attachment and upon her screen and up came a photograph of a young Hototo colt. The little dunalino looked full of himself, as most colts do, and below another message, “for Chronicles of a Hero.”
Confusion and shock filled Melody’s half-conscious mind. Had somebody actually just taken the time to breed two Hototos, raise a foal, and give it off to her? She took a sip of her caffeine induced drink and sat back to look at the foal. He sure was handsome. He was a yellow-green diamond with very simple striping. She certainly hadn’t seen many Hototos like him. Still rereading the message, trying to get it into her head, another message pinged in her inbox. A message from the same farm. When she opened it it read, “he’s arriving today. We hope you enjoy him.”
Today… Today! She scooted up from her chair, grabbed her cup, and began running back upstairs. She would need to get dressed and prep a stall. Most of the staff had left for Easter holiday, and there was much to do to prepare for his arrival.
She pulled on her jeans, slipped a thermal and a jacket over her, and headed back down stairs. She almost forgot to respond to the emails. Once confirmed she’d be ready for him, she stepped into her boots, and jogged out in the Spring snow towards the stallion barn to ready a new stall with fresh straw and feed. She phoned Maverrick to prep him for a vet check and began readying the colt’s space. Still trying to decode in her mind what was happening, she looked out towards the Hototo pasture. Aarre touched noses with Gildi and blew softly into his nostrils. Black, blue, purple, silver, and pink auras filled around the content Hototos, and she began imagining how green would look in their rainbow.

Seriously, I was completely shocked and in awe that she took the time to book a breeding, draw up the breeding picture, and design me this wonderful guy, then humbly drop him off in my inbox! It was a great Easter present, and I haven’t gotten an Easter present since I was a child.
I tried my best to get him to look Dunalino, and matching to him how Tsonian had designed him. I’m sorry he’s a little different, but I hope you like him!
