Description
A much needed break from all the insanity, I spent the weekend with a friend in Miura and relaxed all day on the beach. Unfortunately, there was a lot of debris along the shore line from the tsunami, but as the sun began to go down, I climbed a small hill overlooking what would be mt. Fuji, now shrouded in cloud. Then, just as the sun passed below the horizon, a magnificent silhouette pierced 90 miles through the gloom and cast a great shadow across the sky! The sight of it filled me with a deep sense of wonder and hope, I felt refreshed as though I had just awakened from a deep sleep... Despite everything that has happened to us, Japan is still beautiful!!
