Love this! I was wondering if there was a way to purchase & download it, that way I can print it myself? ..Instead of ordering a physical print.

Was going to add this to my wish list, but I noticed you only have photo print options saved. Why no canvas? Just curious.

Couleurs, ombres et lumière, textures variées, en plus de son aspect inachevé,
donnent à cette peinture une force et une élégance esthétique. Très intéressant!

You've got some gorgeous texture going here. I'm really drawn to the deep shadows, they really contrast the fine lines around the forearms and head. Though I enjoy the visual style of the upper half, my eye keeps lingering on his right hand which looks a little awkward still, mostly his pinky finger. Looking at that hand made me take further notice of his left hand, or lack thereof. I can chalk it up to the angle it's at but it seems as if there should still be some more evidence of that hand.
The way you make this figure anonymous is really interesting, I like how it keeps the focus on the body. It speaks to me of objectification, a subject I always find fascinating when it's a female artist addressing a male subject. As for the background, having the heavy dark colour at the bottom and the bright white towards the top makes me want to say it's too obvious a solution. But at the same time, I find myself liking it despite myself. That shade of blue here is just beautiful.
I admit, I didn't notice at first that this was such an old work of yours and I'm sure it must be far from your mind by now. Sorry for pulling it up, but it made an impression on me so I was compelled to share my two cents anyway.

Share away, itΒ΄s always appreciated. Yes, I can see what you mean by the awkwardeness of the hand(s), but as you say, itΒ΄s an "old" piece and IΒ΄d certainly do it differently now. The background does seem obvious in its rendering, but I distinctly remember wanting to keep it "simple", since otherwise it might take a lot of the focus away from the torso.

Blacki

I like this work a lot. Like the colors and how they work together. Like the physique of the figure. Also like the ambiguity of what the man is feeling. With no face the emotions could be almost anything.
