Nice! A typical sniper set-up would probably use beefier scope rings. You might want to take a look at US Optics' website for some references.

but dude... those are Badger Ordnance rings... anything beefier is excessive unless youre shooting a .50
the fact thats not a 1" tube scope might be throwing you off. its at least 30mm -- may even be 34mm (id have to go back and check my scope measurements, i modeled the scope ages ago) -- which dwarfs scope rings.

Oh, OK. I've got 1" tube scopes on my Sako TRG 338 Lapua Mag and my Barrett, so the rings are pretty beefy. I guess I've got a skewed view of "heavy duty"
