I like your take on the character, AND believe it or not, I mean her face and form NOT the big boobs. You don't often draw 'humans' per se'. I like it.

I wonder if she'll fight a foe that has a super growth ray, and she gets hit by it, making her boobs WAY more bigger! Also, when the growth ray is destroyed, everything reverts back to normal except her boobs, making them PERMANENT!!!

According to his biographers, Wally Wood (one of the original artists for Power Girl) depicted her with a larger and larger bosom for each issue in which she appeared. Apparently he wanted to see how far he could push this exaggeration before his editors noticed.

If I recall correctly, Wall Wood invented Power Girl (her first appearance was in 1976, or thereabouts). Wally Wood passed away in 1981.

From what I've read, Wikipedia is about 80% accurate... ironically, this about the same accuracy as print encyclopedias.

Thank you for the stuff on Wally Wood anyway...he was a GREAT artist in his day. He also drew real cheesecake that would KNOCK your eyes out of your head!

Somewhere here in my personal library is a stack of Wally Wood biographies... which document both his pinup history, but he also the fact that he illustrated hardcore porn. I'm guessing that he was a lonely guy.
He's mostly remembered for his superhero, science fiction, and horror comics, though. He was an extremely prolific artist, and a complete listing of his work is impossible (given that he would randomly destroy or give away stacks of his work).

Nevertheless, he drew quite beautifully and oh, yes, he really did draw sex comics, which was very ahead of his time (remembering a giant woman about to use a startled astronaut as a living dildo, heh. And a very sweet illustration of a little naked woman curled up on a toadstool with little elves standing around and looking on, too. Being anti-marriage myself, I really like the one of a naked bride laying spread on a bear trap made to look like a diamond ring.

According to Wikipedia, Wally Wood was married three times. I didn't know. I knew that he drank his liver to death; I didn't think that a wife would have let him do that.

Well, that was years before we learn to treat each other with respect and courtesy as well as agreement to work things out if there is any problems at all. And that was when marriage and having kids was something you DO when you grow up, of course...it wasn't a choice at the time.
And perhaps Wally was a happy-go-lucky womanizer who also had a drinking problem that drove his women back to their mothers? I dunno.
