Tried to mimic the sprite style of Shovel Knight so who else would I pick than my knight OC Stolz? Stolz has a weapon that changes shape so I drew her carrying all her possible weapons.Related content

I really like this design! She'd definitely be cool as one of the wandering travelers in a sequel; maybe she pops up 3 times, using 2 of her weapons each time? Sort of how the Kratos battle (on sony versions) had 3 parts, each of the 3 of hers could have 2 parts.

I like how the colour is used sparingly; you get the impression that the weapons are more than just metal objects.

Using colors sparingly is the sign of 8 bit. It is surprising what all you can convey with a limited palette.
