Medusa has always been one of my favorite mythological creaturesMedusa was the high priestess of Athena. Poseidon took a liking too her and raped her in Athena's temple. instead of helping her Athena cursed her and turned her into a gorgon, a creature with snakes for hair, half a snake body and turns anything she looks at to stone. i always felt so sorry for her because of her misfortunes.
