Sapphire and Iris (or maybe Airisu?) ✿The first time that I saw the new Pokemon anime character, Iris, I thought it was a joke.
I guess that I must be accustomed to the hairstyles more or less normal of the others (Misty / Kasumi, May / Haruka and Dawn / Hikari), but I don't like the palm-tree-girl
However, after seeing the first chapters of the saga BestWishes, I changed my mind. Iris is a girl full of life and energy, I love her poke-friend Kibago and the that she likes to sleeps in trees
I don't know If on manga Iris will be like anime's Iris, but I hope so, because I love her personality. So I think that anime-Iris version would make a good relationship with Sapphire (May/Haruka on Special Manga Adventures), because both are full of happiness and they love to stay on nature.
aaaaargh, I simply adore that two girls!

I wonder if the writers had Sapphire in mind when they started writing Iris. I sort of hope they did, since one disturbing alternative is that they gave Iris a tree-climbing jungle girl persona because she's black. Still, from what I hear, her portrayal is likeable, so I hope to see some of it, even if I stopped watching that show a long time ago and was never a devoted viewer.

Manga May was pretty much raised by wolves and was a real wild girl, thinking about the anime May was a pokemon phobic at the start of the series, it's stunning to see the contrast.

I didn't like Iris/Airisu at first either, it was a complete joke in my mind. 8D;;;
But now I think she's TOTALLY adorable and I love how she's so full of energy and life, and I love her personality, and Kibago is cute, too. ♥♥♥♥♥♥
