A cats lifetree:It's my nieces birthday shortly after my exam, so I decided to make her birthday gift now, cause else I will get in trouble with my studies. She asked a cartoon-like cat. I doodled cats for hours before I was happy with the final result. I also tried to make everything alot cuter. (after all she is 9 years younger then me) She kept begging me to 'draw her a pretty blue tree too, with a cat' (cause she doesn't like the japanese styled characters alot) This is the final result. Sketching it and scanning took longer then inking and coloring, strange enough.
Nine lifes = nine branches with leaves
Rope= cats love to play with ropes
Stars= cats are night animals
etc (I didn't make it too difficult, so she could see those things too)

Lovely coloring and style. I like the design used and the free flowing look of the tree. The color choices are really bright and lovely. The tan color really compliments the blue leaves and base of the tree. Beautiful linework~
