"The Ati-Atihan Festival is a feast held in honor of the Santo Niño held annually in January concluding on third Sunday, in the town of Kalibo, Aklan in the Philippines.It is the wildest among Philippine fiestas and considered as the Mother of All Philippine festivals. Celebrants paint their faces with black soot and wear bright, outlandish costumes as they dance in revelry during the last three days of this two week-long festival. Catholics and non-Catholics alike observe this special day with processions, parades, dancing, and merrymaking."

Yes, I still draw but I just couldn't find the time to scan all of my works.
I miss posting artworks here in DA. :[
This is another product of boredom during class. :] I couldn't really come up with serious/big artworks lately because I can only do that at home. And most of the time, I'm in school or out of the house for extra-curricular activities. So, for now, I only have here little drawings. This is done on a 9"x12" sketch pad, the one I always bring with me to school. Haha!

My wife is from Aklan, and we went to Ati-Ati-Han a few years ago. I have a few shote of some real festival participants in my gallery if anyone wants to see - the costumes are pretty amazing. But amazing as they are, the most incredible thing is the sound of the bands that play as they dance down the streets. I'll never forget it - very good times.
