Description
So with the release of Mega Man 11, I actually sat down and thought about Sound Woman. I had been wanting to change her armor design for a while but nothing really stuck out to me until I played around with the headpiece. Her helmet is gone, replaced by a hairband with semblance to a lyre. From that the rest fell into place. A Greece-Roman design (Kinda like a Muse I suppose), got rid of the blue she originally had.Still has the tuning fork staff and speakers on parts of her armor but, I am pretty happy with it. Although the hemline to her dress might change.
What do you guys thing?

I like this redesign for Sound, and how it incorporates elements relating to sound and music on her new look.

I mean, I've seen Dollwoman 's work, and she does the same thing with some of her MM characters. It's a different take for a MM design, and it turned out pretty well.

I wouldnβt worry about it too much unless you were trying to be authentic. I break the βrulesβ all the time and could careless. Thereβs plenty of different styles and takes on these in manga and comics to draw inspiration from.

I've noticed a few times they had come after you. Especially with Rain's design. =/ But still, it's your design and who's to say that every scientist has to create their robot with the same template as Light/Wily? Considering we only have Roll and Splash to go off of.
And its no biggie Hook. I've been side eyeing the dress afterwards and might want to do something a little different when the urge hits me.

Its all good! Lots of limiting their imaginations though. Ive seen them too. Usually from those who imitate Inafunes style. Theres more outside of that to draw inspiration from. I just enjoy creating my own things alot i guess.

Yes it is the dress. Robot Masters have no cloth on them, outside of accessories like scarves. Hair is also rare, but eh, I don't care about that rule ever XD. Some say held weapons should also be avoided, but that also isn't a set rule either.

I suppose, I had sketched her body under it with her wearing the outfit I originally drew her in. The problem was the theming I went with. Made the leotard look out of place. I may redo the hemline to the dress but overall, I'm pretty satisfied with the look.

I mean, if you like it that's what matters. At most you can try making the dress look metalic

Perhaps, but I think playing with the hemline might help a little. When I get the urge to draw Sound again I will do a few different ideas.Β
