Everyone needs one, so I figured I could do some slight reinventing of the first character I squished on this account for mine. Maya is a not so normal, psychic human, but had a string of real bad luck, and now looks like a shiny Gardevoir. shes done her best to adapt, giving herself a new hairstyle and cutting her dress short, but her appearance still gets her into all manner of trouble. This trouble usually leaves her without her third dimension, much to her annoyance. her psychic powers do not help her case that she isn't a Pokemon, but they usually do get her out of trouble.

She spends most of her time running her tailoring business, trying not to get caught inside her wringer again. if nothing else, her new appearance has done wonders for her business's marketing. Though, she could go without the constant questions about where her "owner" is.

Maya used to be your average cosplayer, going to conventions and making their own costumes. they would often partake in contests, which helped them push their craft even further, gaining her some noticeable notoriety. She would often dress up as Psychic pokemon, due to her own latent psychic abilities, letting her look more genuine.

One day, she was approached by a mysterious research team to test out their experimental elastic textiles in one of her costumes. she accepted and used it to create an outfit that made her look like a Shiny Gardevoir, using its stretchy nature to act like a natural looking second skin. Her cosplay was well received and praised, and she left the convention proud.

However she found that it was very time consuming to take off, so she walked home while still wearing her costume, planning on doffing it when she got home. unfortunately she was mistaken as the real deal by a trainer during a small jaunt through a park. The ensuing battle left Maya so burned and squished, that her costume permanently fused to her body.

Since then, she has been the subject of much misfortune, from trainers mistaking her for a real Gardevoir, to criminals attempting to abduct her, and even from plain bad luck. The team that gave her the textile has seemingly vanished, so she has been making due as best as she can.

But, no matter what happens to her, she always bounces back, sometimes literally.
