I like the white type of the grayed background. I especially appreciate the very subtle white glow in the middle to highlight the shiny blue logo. Nice touch! The blue at the bottom of the page is really nice as it keeps your eye sort of weighted toward the type in the middle.
By the way, question... what type faces did you use for the black and then for the pixel? Really goes nicely together.
I too enjoy simple cards that use good design to set them apart. Overly done designs with heavy backgrounds sometimes really overshadow the simplicity of the layout and type. So great job.
