True, but here's the real truth. The shadows bug, which were made of pure darkness, came from Mr. Game & Watch who is the source of all endless shadow bugs. When Tabuu discovered this, he used him to create an army of his and also copying victims in their evil, false, form. Now during the when Tabuu created "The Great Maze", he himself created the emerald clones of the entire fallen characters.

Ah, I see. So theses types of clones come from G&W’s shadow bugs and not from Tabuu’s power. Makes sense.
