This is incredible fanart work. 💖💙I saw that anime during Thanksgiving 2018 last year, and I am overly appalled, amazed, and yet mostly stunned that in the beginning of the series was telling viewers started at 0:09 :

That felt something tells me something in the anime is based off from a true event that happened, but have to leave people, places and things as anonymous. 
I didn't realize until watching each episodes, some scenes of Sato's life and Shio's life.. Something did made sense only to Sato. She just did not want to end up the little girl's life to get hurt, almost the same way like she did. ((If I'm saying this right 
I know that today's society that people can't legally have underage minors to be with someone who's a teen together, or have kids to be together with an adult who's older than their age. Unless if only they're 18-19 when they found the right one, only by starting off as friends to having their friendship into a relationship level?.. That's okay.
Looking at the artwork, Sato did what she had to so to keep Shio safe. Even she had a hurtful past life that felt upsetting, and hopefully someday if the new season of that series might have Sato to return back again. But who knows?

Second: I feel like it will take a lot of time for a second season to come. If ever. I've taken a short look at the manga and from what I've seen, it isn't even as far as the anime. Meaning that the anime has an original ending. Unless the author told the animation staff what they planned for future chapters (happend with Mahoutsukai no yome, too)
