Awesome shot!
I really like the closeness and how you've gotten quite an intimate view there with the way you've framed it and all.
It's pretty awesome how you've placed it to the side, as that makes the composition greater. The blur in the background makes me think of a lensbaby, if you know what I mean?
I like the depth of field and the framing isn't too bad, although I do feel as if it's a bit too tight on the left side, or not tight enough?
The colours are great, though, and there isn't really much else to suggest for improvement or anything like that.

The shot was from distance, but I made it closer to focus on the shell and the sand.
My lens, unfortunaly, are the standard nikon lens, nothing special.
Mmm, maybe i would like the shot more if it was less tight, indeed. But I like the touch of "nothing perfect", is what i like to trasmitt with my shots.
I wanted to make contrast higher, but is because I like very dark shots. But I think this shot maybe could have loose the naturality.
