Description
Twas the night before Christmas,
and in Blacksylph’s mind;
Her characters were preparing,
for December, day 25

Ryuu was making cute gifts out of glue,
and Hoshiko was hiding all proof she’s a Jew
The witches were singing beautiful hymns,
and Toshiro was making good use of his limbs

Yumi and Lotus decorated the tree,
while Mist roasted the Christmas poultry
Gaudry was less than a ball of finesse,
and Sage, naturally, was a ball of stress

Somewhere in the shadows of the room,
sat Hibiki and Zero in all of their gloom
Contemplating Christ and the point of this day,
they drank to their darkness and their dismay

Yuka and Locket were in the hall,
hardly in the holiday spirit at all
And feeling depressed and alone without it,
they pulled out their diaries and wrote poems about it

Ravvon played carols on the piano,
candles atop the black lid aglow
With Saira beside him in a state of regret,
that she didn’t have a boyfriend yet

And on the rug in a dress red and frameless,
sat a young girl who so far goes nameless
Said to be angelic, she gazed at the ceiling,
and suddenly had a very strange feeling

“Listen you guys!” she said with a start,
and opened the door to the front yard
It was then they went quiet as they all heard,
something strange and quite absurd

It was bells and laughter of wonderful joy,
and the clanging of sacks full of new toys
With a flash of red through the black sky,
did the party guests hear him cry;

“On Dasher! On Dancer! On Prancer! On Vixen!”
but only that would be heard by whoever listened
For the moment he opened his mouth once more,
a sight befell them of madness and gore

(As it turns out, Yaoi Fan saw it happening,
while she was shopping on Ebay for doujinshi
And the things she saw filled her with such terrible fear,
that when she awoke from her coma, it drove her to beer)

The sleigh exploded and burst into flames,
and the deer were roasted on the reigns
For who stood on the roof with a rocket launcher on his back,
but a seldom seen character of mine known as, ‘Tenack’

The young man let out a maniacal cry,
with a light shining in his one visible eye
And the sleigh cloaked in fire crashed to the ground,
letting off a sizable mushroom cloud

Then all was quiet as all the smoke cleared,
and the characters saw what they’d truly feared
Lying in rubble and deer guts and brick,
was the fat guy formally known as Saint Nick

Tenack leapt to the ground from the rooftop,
and with a sigh took his gray hat off
It was then that Sage put a gun to his head,
and said, “Did you skip your Prozac again?”

As you can tell, a brawl soon took place,
that left Toshiro missing a piece of his face
And poor little Yuka who’s a wreck as it was,
had to go for a transplant to replace all the blood

But in the midst of the chaos, the girl with no name,
walked through the rubble and eyeballs and flames
And pressed her hands to poor Santa’s chest,
where a light shone and-oh, come on, just guess!

That’s right boys and girls; Santa’s not dead!
the little girl brought him back instead
He was as jolly and sweet as he was before,
and all that jazz, just not dead anymore

It was then that the party guests stared in surprise,
as the big man himself looked into their eyes
So when he looked upon Tenack like he was in a trance,
the gunman simply whined and wet his own pants

But Santa said, “Listen; I’m going to be fine,
but see the truth of this holiday of mine?
You’re all different faiths but you felt the same,
when you saw my sleigh go into flames.
So what if you’re Christian or a Jew?
It’s the heart in your chest that defines you.
Surely by now you’ve all figured out,
that that’s what Christmas is all about.”

And he was right; oh what a wise man,
only he could make these kids understand
That it’s not a time for celebrating faith,
but to think of those we love, not who we hate

So he gave them gifts and gave the deer CPR,
and flew off through the sky and the stars
And the cast went inside and sat round the fire,
feeling more wholesome and more inspired
They embraced and they smiled and laughed it off,
then opened their gifts and basked in their stuff
They ate and they drank and took all their meds,
kissed their companions goodnight and went to bed

And the nameless girl lay awake in the dark,
saying out loud the words from her heart;
“Happy holidays to everyone, which is really depending,
on whether or not you’re happy with this dumb ending.”
