This cruel magical girl has narrow orange eyes and shoulder-length, straight, luxurious, gold hair worn in an exotic style. She has a leggy figure. She has cosmic powers that are activated by sheer willpower. Her uniform is black and brown in even proportions, and it looks like a fusion of a princess' royal outfit and a suit of armor.
Another contest I lost...a lot of people tell me this picture looks like a Yu-gi-oh! card, which sort of bothers me, especially because they're RIGHT. I mean, I used to play the card game a lot when I was in middle school, so I'm wondering if the pictures might now be seared in my mind and influencing my style. Well, at least they're GOOD pictures.

Her armor reminds me of Pesmerga from the Suikoden series which is always a bonus
The only things I can really pick at here are the overall blurriness which is a shame because it makes all the wonderful details hard to pick out and the flatness of her helmet. Everything else in this picture seems perfectly modelled but when my eye travels up to her head it sticks to the helmet and I lose the illusion that this is not just a 2-d image.
So, sharpen it up a bit and rework some of the helmet and this piece will be truly fine

Damnit, this is damned good work. I do believe I'll be faving this, though this does look like a dark version of Queen's Knight from Yu-Gi-Oh. Still a damn nice work, excellent clothing, style, background. All very well done! I would not be surprised at all if this didn't rank quite high!

Dude... It's pretty and all, but this is exactly like Queen's Knight (i think that's what it is) from the YuGi-Oh cardgame. In fact, the background is exactly the same.
You should at least say in your descp. that you based it off of that.

A little critique: I would leave the outlines out or outline everything with a bit thicker stroke, just a thought.
