Description You've seen the Stryker compared to a number of other vehicles in it's class in this series, but the Patria AMV is the very first modern Wheeled APC it's had to contend with so far.

Will the Stryker FINALLY manage to come out on top, now that it's facing an immediate rival?

Watch and see!

The odds on the USA buying the AMV over keeping the Stinker are sadly slim as the testing will most likely be as skewed and fudged up as usual.

As it happens, the AMV was offered to the USMC as a candidate for the Marine Personnel Carrier requirement --- it was licensed to Lockheed to build as the "Havoc".

Unfortunately, the Marines threw-out the whole requirement back in 2013. It seems the Amphibious Combat Vehicle requirement might go "Tango-Uniform" soon as well, despite having terminated the MPC requirement expressly to protect funding for the ACV.

From some of the flying rumors the whole corp may be disbanded, altho I seriously doubt that myself

Supposedly, the originator of said rumor was quoted as saying " the Marines have no role on the modern battlefield" whereupon everyone near him began to move away rather quickly...VERY quickly....at a live press conference no less.
