I always liked the A-10.
But, personally speaking, I believe that the best Ground attack and support airplane there is is the Argentienean built IA 58 Pucara: It's versatile, capable of carrying different weaponry, for different tasks, it can turn around on a dime, its very hard to shot down with conventional ground fire (and hard to hit using air to air warfare weapons), why more armies in the world still use the Mohawk or the Bronco instead of the Pucara is a wonder for me.
