In fact, the M113 is so good in urban battlefields that I'm seriously considering having the National Supers Agency use them in an urban warfare situation in my fanfiction!

In fact, the Service Départemental d'Incendie et Secours de la Haute-Corse (Haute-Corse Departmental Fire & Rescue Service) uses the M113, for reasons that will become immediately obvious in this video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=6zZsZk…

I've gone over my previous comments and they seem a bit vicious so I will say this sorry and 2 the m113 is a good vehcile I never said anything against it that wasn't true or from a soldier that served on one in all these things suffer one major flaw many are older then their crews and some have served the fathers of its present crew in all these frames are being worn to the bone and need to built scrapped for brand new models in all "reinvent the wheel" with this as the goal. modern matriels and comuncations fresh of the floor we'd probably have something like my own fictional rebuild [link]

No offense taken --- and believe me, I've gotten some *very* obscene comments from some people.

As for the M119, UDLP actually *built* something very similar back in the mid-1990s; [link]
It's called the HETTD ("Hybrid-Electric Tracked Technology Demonstrator"), and believe it or not, it's actually an M113 Gavin variant.
