Thanks a lot! Dyed by hand. I do the antiquing with a slightly damp sponge, and just pat the dye on. Very lightly and just build up the color.

i love looking forward to your pieces. they always look great. a question if you dont mind answering. are you hand sewing? and if so do you use a diamond punch or an awl and a stitch wheel?

Thanks! I do a combination hand and machine sewing. I like to sew the body of the bag and attaching the elements by hand with a saddle stitch. It makes for a very strong construction. I do the strap, around the flaps, and pockets with my machine. Still very strong and infinitely faster. When I hand stitch, I run the bag through my machine without thread and let it punch the holes for me. The billets with the celtic knots get the holes punched with my awl and then sewn by hand.

Yeah no problem. It saves quite a bit of time letting the machine do the work! Glad I could be an inspiration and pass it along! I know the feeling!
