Lias is a very cheerful young man, often seen laughing or smiling. With his kind-hearted personality, he helps others out whenever he can no matter if it's a friend or enemy. People often wonder if it's really his kindness or just because he's too naive and simple minded. Lias is a honest person and speaks out what he thinks, sometimes insulting people around him since he tends to speak up first before thinking. But his energetic and happy go lucky nature makes it up for it, making others to forgive him easily. When he's being optimistic about something, his careless and not very bright side shows up.

Because he's a foreigner and just moved to Midorijima, Lias behavior could seem odd to other people. He does not know a lot about the culture of Japan so his actions might be a bit awkward. He also may complain about a lot of things now and then but he really doesn't feel that way. Once he gets angry though, things will get ugly since he has a passive-aggressive behavior towards people he really dislikes.
One of his weakness is jealousy. If he loves something / someone, he'll love with all his heart and take what he believe is his, even sometimes to the point of obsession or possessiveness. His biggest fear are boredom and loneliness. Lias hates to be alone so he gets scared that his friends might leave him.

History :

Lias was born in a small country in Europe. He lived his childhood with caring parents, grand-parents and his 4 years older brother.
Ever since he was a kid, he looked up to the older one and wanted to become just like him. They often played together at the ocean or on rainy days, having their own little adventures. His childhood days was always lively and cheerful. Even though Lias had many friends, he would always cling to his brother. At that time, the older was the most important person in his life.

During Lias' middle school days, he got less time to spend with his older brother because the latter got busy with high school and graduating. The brothers started to distance themselves and Lias became more attached to his friends, always taking the "leader's" role of the group. Though deep down, he felt lonely.

When Lias entered high school, his brother told him that he'd study in another country: Japan. Even though he was shocked, he knew that his brother always made the right decisions. Also he knew that the older one wanted to stand up on his own, without having the support of their parents. Before leaving the country, Lias promised that he'll stand up on his own too and that they'll meet again soon. Those two eventually lost contact afterwards.

Lias started to focus on school and studied hard to convince his parents that he's ready to study overseas. They were worried at first due to Lias' carelessness but they trusted their son. Lias started to learn Japanese and got fascinated by the country and it's culture. He eventually got to know about Rhyme and looked up on the internet. He became interested just by reading the topics about it.

One day on his 18th birthday, Lias received a package from Midorjima. Inside the box was an AllMate in form of a pangolin. The addressor was anonymous but Lias had a feeling that it must have been his brother. Taking that as an invitation to move to Midorjima, Lias packed his stuff and left the country.

After arriving in there, he noticed the huge difference right away. He eventually got to meet some Rhymers and got to play it twice, getting more excited about a whole new world and different people.
He's currently a college student in Ooi and works part time as a waiter. Wondering if his brother also plays Rhyme, he continues playing. Hoping to be able to find him due to this virtual battle game…

      █ Lias sometimes calls his AllMate "Nee-san".

     █ Pangolin is his favorite animal

     █ He actually plays and enjoys playing the electric guitar

Relationships :

Esty: Even though they haven't been together for along time, Lias cares a lot about his friend. She reminds him a bit of an older sister, looking out for him when he gets careless again, talking to him when he feels lonely. Esty is probably the only one who knows how much Lias misses his brother and how lonely he feels sometimes.
