Chinese Unicorn Lion

I drew the sketch way back in 2002 or 2003... I forget...
Anyways, it was based on a character from "Xi You Ji" (The Journey West) with a magical fan, which I think was gold, and a lance.

The character was very egotistical and arrogant, typical of Chinese action characters.

Anyways, I believe the character was either defeated by Sun Wukong (The Monkey King), or by Guanyin... I honestly forget... It's been a few years since I've read the epic novel.

I think my drawing skills at the time were good... but, my still picture composition was weird, since I studdied animation...

I was really liking the coloring at 1st... but, i had some bad computer problems when I did some coloring yesterday... so, I guess I just wanted to be done with this... so, I'm not totally satisfied.
