Description
Was in the mood to make a simple eye drawing in pastels... nothing special. I recognized that working in greyscale with pastels is not anymore a pleasure for me, I always had the feeling it is "too easy" so I got bored and rushed... weird I know
As I have quite some free time now, you can expect some more works of me in the near future
(and I will also be more active on dA...hopefully xD)materials: pastels/charcoal on grey DinA4 paper
time: some hours

Sehr schΓΆnes Bild! Besonders der Detailsreichtum und der Schwarz-WeiΓ-Kontrast sticht mir besonders ins Auge. Auch die Wimpern sind sehr gut geworden, genauso wie die Reflektion. Hat sie etwas zu bedeuten ?

Nein, die Reflektion hat nicht wirklich was zu bedeuten, um genau zu sein war dieses Bild nur mehr oder weniger eine technische Γbung

Thank you! Compared to my other, natrualistic works this work was really done quicky, just 4-5 hours I guess. It was also kinda an experiment, because I have never really drawn with pastels/pastel pencils in grey scale on grey paper before. Besides, it is only drawn from a reference, so I have not put my own thoughts, ideas, whatsoever into it, therefore I don't think it can be rated as a real artwork at all. Just my opinion

As long as the art is something you worked at with your heart it is real art. I myself am afraid that if I don't draw from a reference, the resulting piece will be awful. Trial and error I guess. I should try it sometime.
