I agree. For me, a blonde Bowsette looks like Princess Peach cosplaying as Bowser, not a female version of Bowser. But, a red haired Bowsette is unquestionably a female version of Bowser. Bowser just isn't Bowser without the red hair. It would be like Batman not have a bat motif to his outfit. A critical element of the character is missing in the design.
