She's done! She took about twice as much work as a normal pony this size, but I think it was worth it. She looks amazing.
She is just over five feet tall, if you count to the top of her horn!

Oooh, she's really sweet! I don't think I'd consider five feet to the tip of her horn life-sized, but she's definitely huge, easily the biggest Chrysalis plushie I've ever seen (and one of the biggest plushies of any pony).

This is very high quality work, but I'm confused as to how she's "life-sized". :< My stepmom owns horses and ponies, and our pony is 15hh, which is five feet from hoof to whithers (shoulder). And I could see that as life size for say, Pinkie Pie or Twilight Sparkle. But the Princesses and Chrysalis have longer legs putting them in that ratio at almost 17hh if not more. (17-18hh = 5.6'-6'). At their shoulders. Adding in head and horn height, that would be almost another 1.5'-2'...Β

There are a TON of ways to calculate the real size of a pony.Β For example there's the "carat" method, that compares the stated size of gems in the show to real life, and proves that ponies are small enough to hold in your palm.Β The cello method assumes that Octavia plays a cello the same size as one in our world, and shows ponies as being about two feet tall.Β So reallyΒ you can call "life sized" however big you want.Β

:3Β There are actually some holes, but it's hard to line up a photo that shows them.Β I did some of the dips because she has those partial holes on the edges of her feet.Β It's hard to figure out how to make something that's so 2-d into a 3-d plush!

That's a lot of awesome dear! I can barely manage a regular sized plush and can only imagine TRYING to make a HUGE plush though the benefit is a larger scale and less room for error. Im a dork when it comes to sewing and just run the fabric though at lightning speed. Im lucky I havent sewn my fingers yet. Keep up the awesome work! Kudos for including the holes in the legs as well!
