Well, they did it.Japan made their first giant robot. If its functional at all remains to be seen. But regardless, this is the single most greatest thing I've ever seen as a fan.
Its Gundam's 30th aniversary, and this was put together relatively fast according to this article. [link] Thanks to Mikeinel for introducing this to us. It is a 1:1 scale model of the RX78 Gundam, and it is at least ~150 ft of awesome.

As a gundam fan.. all I can say is SWEEEEEEET. Sure, the Gundam Mk I, aka the White Devil, as is depicted there.. isnt the most awesome gundam ever.. its technically a GM unit with super reinforced armor, better weapons, and a different head.. but it started it all. XD Now Japan.. I challenge you.. Make a 1:1 scale model of the Gundam Wing Zero!
