Description
This year Blade dresses up as a character from one of my favorite games: Metroid. I suppose it could be joked that he's dressed up as a girl, not like anyone can really tell the difference either way. Then again most people view Ridley as a male anyways. Supposedly an obsure reference that actually points to Ridley's gender which I've long forgotten.Related content

Funny, since Ridley is a male. I think the thought of him being female came from one of the developers thinking he was female.

been a game nerd i have seen the legendary comment that ridley is a girl like brido is a boy it was long ago in either the instrution manual or the statagy guild for metrido or super metriod, i think the theroy going by new timelines like other m, he was a girl then when she died on the exploshion on zeebes they cloned him and the gender changed, but regardless great work ridley is by far the best charicter from metriod and id love a costume of him.

i thought you were talking about ridley from aliens. but then i think after i see "metroid" he's talking about ridley from super metroid. and i agree, adley, about what you said. super metroid is THE best. it's going to be hard to beat. and first person really doesn't keep true to the series, in my opinion. i'd rather have 3rd person.

Metroid Prime mentions something about a 'Ridley Metaform'. Not to mention that one is 'Meta' 
Ridley never does seem to have a set appearance in the games. Often mentioned in more gender neutral terms I think.

He/she/it XD. I remember in the pirate ship after Ridley appears that there is stuff to scan about him, and it talks about him being revived or something from the last encounter on Zebes. I'd have to play it all again, but it was my friends and there is no gamecube up here in college, gahg X_x

Metroid prime defiantly state Ridley Meta Ridley is a he. One example is when they are talking about him taking command as the general of the army "A position we are sure he will relish."
Ridley has had the same appearance in super metroid metriod fusion (even though that was really an x parasite) and metroid zero mission. So basicly his been the smae ever since the graphic artists learnt how to draw. :-P
Meta Ridley been the exception though his still very similar.
