Here we have thirteen people/elements from my junior year’s AP Calculus class, which was loads of fun (most days). Some of these elements are real, and some are… larger than life. Haha thanks! The man is red was my calc teacher that semester, but the sandwich guy is my calc teacher from the previous semester. He taught computer science while my friends and I were in calc, so often he'd leave his class in the computer lab and come into our class eating a sandwich (my calc class was right before lunchtime).
And there may not be much resemblance physically, but that teacher with the sandwich is one of two people I pulled from to create Nathan Bondoc ^^

Haha, it's funny what you remember most about a class! In one of my classes last year, the most vivid thing I recall happening was that if one of my teacher's students had a birthday, he would sing happy birthday to them very off-key, in a really high pitched voice, in a very low voice, or changing between a high and low voice XD

Yeah, it's those little things than can sure mean a lot sometimes. Singing terribly in different voices sound hilarious! XD
Ah, really? There is something in my teacher's face and disposition that made it into Nathan, but if you knew my teacher you'd be able to see it better. But I gave Nathan my teacher's fluffy hair and lopsided eyebrows. Also, Nathan Bondoc is a teacher at heart - I feel like I don't show it enough, but it is at the core of his character. So I wanted him to have this fun, patient, laid-back disposition that my calc teacher had/has.
Nathan does actually teach middle schoolers sometimes, but I imagine he's an english teacher, not a math teacher. ^^

Yeah, it was actually really funny when he sang! When it was my birthday, my teacher pretended to sing the song but no sound came out of his mouth; he actually told us that he was "singing" at a frequency that only elephants could hear haha.
No totally, I could see how Nathan was passionate about being a teacher from the story I read! Yeah, I see a lot of resemblance. Hey I wouldn't be a math teacher if I ever had to teach at a school! Anything would be better to teach than math XD
