and her mimic expression is almost comedic.

One might be lured in by the model's beauty and exposed curves,...but a wise man would notice the pose is a warning of symmetry, like a thought about a thought, it can matter not, or it could save your life.
The contrast adds to the ease with which the viewer approaches the work and the emotion communicated pulls us in the rest of the way.
