Description PHEW!!!
It's about time I finished with him. Damn that took a long time.

So, here he is. The piece that I've been working on for like two weeks. And now here he is in all his glory, INTRODUCING SOTA!! The kick ass, blue haired snowboarder teen. I feel so proud that I finally finished him.

So anyway, this first started as me wanting to draw a gift for lizanime for all that she's done for me. I started to get an idea from the black and white striped design on my sweatshirt, then I got my first issue of Snowboard Mag for this year, then I hung out with my friend who actually has blue hair, and BAM!! Sot was born.

So happy that I finally got a working scanner and a decent Photoshop program. It's awesome, really. I know this probably isn't the best digital coloring out there, but hey, it's my first try. And I think I did pretty well for what it is.

I think this looks pretty good ^^ perhaps for the next drawing focus more on things like line variance, so things that are in front of others stand out a bit more, working on hands (theyre hard, I still have trouble with them and i'm studying illustration at Uni)and perhaps a little more structure in the face.
I really like the story that went with it too because it shows you thought about your art a lot

A board should be about as tall as the floor to your nose and no lower than your mouth.

I have the new Ride Machete with Rocker in it. It's so awesome!! I can't wait to ride it.

Saw your line art and that looked awesome. And this is a pretty nice job for a first attempt at Photoshop coloring. Plus I like the color swirl thing background.

If I could just make one tiny little critique? His right ( our left) eye is a little bit taller and skinnier than his left. Not that noticeable, but I just wanted to mention it. Other than that it looks great!!

It seems a little smallish compared to the rest of the body, but the shape's alright i guess.

I don't think so. It matches up with the size of his arm. Thanks for the advice though. Hands are the hardest thing to draw.

I once drew a hand on one of my character in reverse (meaning my view of my hand) and then had to draw it all over again.
