Here is a painting inspired by my beautiful niece, Nina. This is painted with water-diluted acrylics on canvas. I painted her face with a soft, Benefit make up brush, using highly diluted 'Transparant Liquitex Acrylic' paint. Her hair was painted with a wood-handled, round crafters foam dabber. As you can see, the circular dabber is just dipped in paint and pressed down in dot layers. But first, to create the stars, I put gold star stickers on the canvas before painting the hair, dabbed the foam painter onto the stars, let it dry and then removed the stars to reveal star shapes. Try it! The stars are not perfect, which gives it a child-like, cute effect while giving her hair sort of a night sky look. Love this kid!
